To be a bit more specific, educationally I have a BA in Fine Arts from Albion college, an MA in Transpersonal Psychology from Naropa University and my ERYT registered with Yoga Alliance.
Work experiences are detailed from where I am at the moment to where I began.
Art has been a focal point most my life, working with political issues, the stories of women and abstracts using mainly oils, but not limited to these subjects or mediums. My work has been in various shows, competitions, galleries and private collections.
A teacher of Yoga/Meditation at Albion College for credit, the past nine years as well as instructing private clients. As a qualified teacher’s teacher, I can certify and train others in this field.
Leading training workshops on stress reduction techniques for Humanergy, a company based in Marshall, MI. Independent workshops focusing on stress reduction, eating, rituals and mindful ways to uncover habitual responces in order to live more fully. Serving private clients seeking a psycholgist who encorporates practices that encourage the mind, body and spirit to merge into a state of wholeness.
The work detailed above all feed and serve each other, building a body of work in each area that becomes richer, more detailed and highly practiced for those seeking my services.
Past employment ranges from art instructor at a juvenile detention facility, cook in various restaurants, claims examiner at an insurance co. to military police in the US Army.
I am also a wife of 20 years to a wonderful Brit., mother of 4, caregiver to dogs, cats and chickens and active seeker in adventures, which include traveling around in my hand painted VW bus. I’ve lived in the UK, Germany, the East Coast, South, Midwest and traveled out West..I still haven’t decided where to settle when my last 2 children fly the nest in 2 years. I am open to suggestions. I am a practicing Buddhist, which conflicts with my food snobbery (I love good food).
